The course explores how to design, establish, and manage PMO / P3O structures that are fit for purpose. You will examine the different types of PMO, their roles and responsibilities, and how they operate across project, programme, and portfolio environments. A key focus is placed on understanding how governance, reporting, assurance, and support functions can be implemented in a way that adds value without creating unnecessary complexity.
You will also explore how to manage stakeholder expectations, provide meaningful insight into delivery performance, and support teams in making better decisions. The course covers how to balance consistency with flexibility, ensuring that the PMO adapts to changing delivery environments while maintaining control and visibility. Throughout, the content is grounded in real-world challenges, helping you translate theory into practical improvements.
