CITI Beyond Method®
Spiral Curriculum
CITI has been a leader in change, project and leadership capability development for almost 40 years. We are proud to have an established and successful alumni of professionals who have led within organisations, been successful in building their own careers, developing thinking, writing books and lecturing, and coaching and mentoring others to become project and change professionals along the way.
Part of the successful learning journey for people has been the unique IP we hold that has been tried, tested and adapted over many years. We run our Beyond Method® Spiral Curriculum using blended learning, incorporating the 70:20:10 approach and developing new assets based on how people learn, and learning theory concepts.

What is the CITI Beyond Method® Spiral Curriculum?
At CITI, we start with the basics of foundation level learning, the same topics are then revisited by learners adding breadth and depth at each level, building upon their knowledge, approach, skills and experience. The spiral curriculum provides a combination of education and real world technical and personal development opportunities based on understanding firstly the self, followed by the wider team, the organisational context, and then other external factors (VUCA).
We believe in creating environments where people are trusted and given the opportunity to learn, grow, problem solve, create, and make robust and safe decisions for themselves and their organisations.
Why?
Increases: creativity; critical thinking; problem solving; cognitive development; increased recall of learning
Optimises: engagement; dynamic space for knowledge acquisition; enriched learner experience; dynamic space to develop thinking and community exchange; point in time knowledge; aide memoires
The four stages of our blended approach
CITI has developed a personalised area for assessments, learning, building confidence and accessing supported/guided additional facilitated sessions for individuals and teams with the ability to collate data for the organisation to understand their skills and gaps specifically for the project profession. This revolutionises CITI’s well known and reputable Beyond Method® curriculum making it easily accessible, user friendly and as point in time learning.

How does this improve learning?
Creating a truly inclusive learning culture can help with understanding difference, supporting creative thinking, bridging generational misunderstanding and sharing experience, skills and knowledge. We are all different, we should be in a world where we can ask questions, be able to respectfully challenge, managing conflict, understand our own and other people’s learning preferences and styles.
Our leaders should be considering how they empower and inspire people to think creatively or differently, how they positively influence, understand, and enable positive change and create a psychologically safe culture. Developing self-sustaining communities of practice, centres of excellence or professions can also help with positive prototyping. Coaching and peer mentoring also help to engage people and develop new ideas, new tech environments and bring new thinking through our blended learning/flipped classrooms/Just in Time Teaching (JiTT) and learning environments.
